Wanted: CDN engineer

We develop advanced and industry disruptive Content Delivery Network technologies which we license to the world’s leading telecom operators, hosting providers, mobile operators, cable companies, CDN’s and broadcasters. We partner with global leaders in telecom and technology such as Ericsson and IBM.
CDN and streaming media is our passion. We are changing the way content is delivered on the web: internet streams, mobile content, OTT and IPTV. Although our technology is cutting edge and extremely innovative, we are not a pure technology company: we aid our customers in strategy, architectures and business.
To further accelerate our innovation, research and development, we are looking for a brilliant software engineer.
Your job is:
- to research third party streaming, mobile and IPTV technologies
- to work together with these third parties to integrate their technologies into our CDN technology
- to further scale the software code and architecture and to further scale database architectures
- to support in writing internal and customer documentation
- to support customers and system integrators in designing customer architectures and deployment
- to offer technical support to system integrators and customers
- to support our operational team in managing our own StreamZilla CDN
Technical requirements:
Senior PHP experience
Senior MySQL experience
Performance monitoring, testing and tuning
In-depth knowledge of Flash Media Server, Wowza Media Server, Windows Media Server, Smooth Streaming, Lighttpd, HTTP streaming
Technical skills preferred:
Senior Linux experience, Windows 2008 server.
In-depth knowledge of IPTV platforms
Knowledge of IP routing, switching and network engineering experience
Knowledge of BGP, DNS, caching and storage technologies
JAVA, Ajax and ActionScripting development
Operational (NOC) experience
Your English is perfect (both writing and speaking) and speaking Dutch is preferred.
You have a driving license and you don’t mind traveling. Besides your technical skills you are also communicative and a team player.
Our office is in the Netherlands. The job offer is for 4-5 days per week and includes periodic stand-by time with a pool of engineers.
