One new CDN per month

London, October 16 2009 - One new CDN per month
Telcos and hosting providers move into the CDN market, powered by Dutch CDN technology

Jet Stream BV, CDN technologies market leader, announced on the Streaming Media Europe show in London that it has licensed and deployed eight CDNs since the latest release of their VideoExchange CDN software suite was launched in March 2009. Thanks

I want to thank the people behind the CDN Strategies Summit and Streaming Media Europe for both London shows last week. It is good to see that business is growing and that the industry is professionalizing and that everyone is focussing on their own core. It is also very good to hear that the telco industry agrees on the views that I have been advocating in the past years, from both a strategic and technical point of view. We had a great (but extremely busy) week with many new opportunities and many new potential partnerships for CDN deployments and streaming services.

Thanks to you all for the great time too: it was good to catch up with everyone and the atmosphere was great: we had a lot of fun, besides the business, which is important as well. I also want to thank everyone for the compliments on this blog!

We need time in the next weeks to work on the current CDN projects and we have to setup many meetings to discuss he new opportunities and partnerships. We’re also growing fast, so we need some time to get our new staff members up and running. I will try to write some articles about the two most important issues that were discussed on CDN Strategies Summit (CDN standardization) and SME (cooperation in the EU market). I have published some articles on this blog that more or less cover these topics, so check the older articles.

Oh and: congratulations to the Readers’ Choice winners of 2009: we won last year and it is a great boost. Speak to you soon.

Our requirements back then (1996/1997) were quite simple: Read more
