Europe calling
This is a call to some USA CDN industry writers who primarily write about global (in their view that is U.S. based) loss leaders while they could also write about winners.
Jet Stream and StreamZilla are perhaps not the best known brands in the USA CDN industry. That is because we mainly focus on Europe. In Europe we are a market leader with our innovative CDN technology (actually there is no competition, we invented this market here.) Our StreamZilla CDN is the only pan-European Streaming Media Provider. We have an innovative market approach (transparency, e-commerce) to overcome the Europe’s market specific culture.
We may not have the turnarounds of the USA based CDN’s. But IMHO (well not so humble about this subject), most of those CDN’s are heavy, overweight and slow loss leaders. There are just a few CDN’s who actually make money. Almost all of them burn millions. They buy customers with low prices. And it is uncertain whether or not they will make it at all. This crisis should go much deeper if it were to me… it will cause a shake-out so the stronger parties can survive.
I am not impressed by how much money a CDN startup or CDN tech company can get from investors. I am not impressed by how large their network is. I am not even impressed with their customers list if these CDN’s keep buying these accounts just to survive. How loyal are these customers? They will jump if the competitor is 1 cent cheaper. What impresses me is when a CDN can get great customer loyalty and can prove to make a good profit.
I am proud to say that we have been profitable since the start of the company. We have no external investors. We did not loan money. We have no debts. We started small. And we grew along with our customers. And we made good money. We have a solid buffer and our margins are very good. Customers want a reliable, future-proof partner. We have no churn. Customers leave other streaming operators and large CDN’s because of lack of good customer support. We welcome them.
We grow 75% to 100% per year. StreamZilla has a very good reputation for global performance, knowledge, customer support and ease of use. We have been focussing on efficiency. Efficient infrastructure, efficient organization, efficient processes, efficient CDN technology. Our services have better features, are easier to use. We are more transparent. We have a senior support staff available.
In the end it is all about customer satisfaction and ***profit***. Two simple things that most CDN’s have not been able to achieve.
